Incline Village is an ideal central location for skiing with 15 ski resorts conveniently located within 5 to 45 minutes driving time. Lake Tahoe boasts some of the best ski resorts, terrain and conditions in the world.  The resorts range in size from small beginner hills to world class resorts like Squaw Valley U.S.A., home of the 1960 Winter Olympics. The conditions are ideal for skiing with 30 feet or more of snow annually, dazzeling lake views, crisp sunny days and frequent snowstorms dumping tons of fresh powder.  There is also a vast array of terrain for backcountry skiers including the popular and demanding Mount Tallac.  If you haven’t skied before most of the resorts offer expert instruction and equipment rental.  If you have a family, some resorts offer day care and special rates for skiing.  There are also interchangeable tickets that allow parents and children to each ski part of the day.  Below find listings and contact information for local downhill ski resorts.
